76--Notice of Intent: IHS Global Inc.

NOTICE OF INTENT This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a sole source contract using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 other than full and open competition. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Information Administration (EIA), Office of Energy Analysis (EI-30) has a requirement to obtain product services and support from IHS Global Inc. and intends to award a one-year sole source contract in support of the EIA Programs. EIA intends to acquire subscription to a package of data services and reports related to U.S. and oil markets. The specific services include IHS Well Data, Crude Oil and Oils Sands Market Outlook, Enerdeq Browser including Map Services and Web services, IHS Lat Longs, Raster Logs, Midstream Data (U.S. Pipelines and Facilities), NGL Service, and IHS Bunker Fuel Global Study. The anticipated period of performance for this activity will start on the date of award through 12 consecutive months. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 3304, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties may submit a capability statement and pricing information, which shall be considered by the requesting agency, within ten (10) calendar days of publication of this notice. Responses must be in writing and delivered by e-mail to the Contract Specialist at contact@example.gov. The e-mail shall contain the following subject line: Response to Notice of Intent ? DE-SOL-0007620. Please submit all information no later than September 18, 2014, 2:00 PM Eastern Time. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
