This contract calls for the delivery of a single order of graphite fiber tape and sheet epoxy or modified epoxy resin impregnated adhesives, specifically designed for primary aircraft structures. The materials must conform to Lockheed-Martin specification FMS 2023C, including all amendments, with a focus on Type V (suitable for service temperatures between -67 and 350 degrees Fahrenheit) and Form B (continuous tape intended for hand lay-up). The adhesive tape rolls should measure approximately 12 inches wide and at least 50 feet in length. Each item requires special markings detailing specification data, manufacturer and part numbers, lot numbers, manufacture and reinspection dates, curing and usage instructions, and storage guidelines, emphasizing refrigerated or frozen storage when necessary. Packaging is mandated to maintain product integrity during shipment, with two options: refrigerated delivery via autofreight using insulated, vapor-tight bags and robust fiberboard boxes, and overnight express shipping with dry ice and thermal insulation where refrigeration is unavailable. All packaging must be clearly labeled with refrigeration instructions. Marking standards must comply with federal or military regulations depending on the delivery destination. The product must be U.S.-made, and bids are due by the end of August 26, 2002. Bidders are instructed to submit proposals by fax or email and to include Material Safety Data Sheets with their submissions, specifying FOB or destination shipping terms.
