The Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO) is seeking detailed information to support the development of an implementation roadmap and investment plan aligned with the forthcoming Department of Defense Modeling and Simulation Master Plan (MSMP). This initiative aims to establish clear objectives and priorities for DoD modeling and simulation (M&S) investments that enhance joint, general, and common-use applications. As a corporate-level organization, the DMSO focuses on maximizing efficiency, interoperability, reuse, and affordability of M&S efforts across the DoD components, ultimately supporting warfighter capabilities and improving DoD operations through collaborative and cost-effective M&S activities. In this effort, the DMSO invites government entities, commercial firms, universities, and non-profits engaged in M&S to provide current best practices, tools, techniques, standards, and capabilities across a broad spectrum of areas, including automated workflows, environmental and human behavior modeling, system-of-systems representation, distributed simulations, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A). Respondents are also encouraged to address educational and training methodologies, access to M&S resources, and applications relevant to emerging operational concepts such as information operations, C4ISR, unconventional warfare, and effects-based operations. Submissions, limited to three pages per query, are for informational use only, with no government commitment to procure or compensate for the provided data. The solicitation serves as a comprehensive request for market and capability insights to guide future M&S investment planning within the DoD.
