Full Description

DARPA intends to enter into a sole source contract with Geo-Centers of Pine, CO, to support a recurring Defense Advance Research Projects Agency (DARPA) requirement under the Low Altitude Airborne Sensor System (LAASS) program. Specifically, the requirement calls for the collection and processing of ground truth test data which will be conducted during the Summer 2004. The effort is a continuation of research and development previously performed by Geo-Centers, and it is likely that award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition and would also result in unacceptable schedule delays. Furthermore, the contractor under this effort must be currently trained and qualified on the existing ground truth data collection system, sensors and custom algorithms previously delivered to DARPA/SPO, and currently stored at the Geo-Centers establishment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The research is deemed to be available only from Geo-Centers. This Notice is intended for informational purposes only; it is not a Request for Proposals.
