The Department of Canadian Heritage (PCH) has a requirement to establish a Secretariat that will support the work of the Steering Committee. The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the government’s intention to award a contract for these services to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) located at the University of Manitoba, Chancellor’s Hall, 117 Dysart Road, Winnipeg MB, R3T 2N2. Before awarding a contract, however, the government would like to provide suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements set out in this notice, by submitting a statement of capabilities during the fifteen (15) calendar days posting period.
PCH has a requirement to establish a Secretariat that will support the work of the Steering Committee. PCH requires a facilitator, a communications advisor, technical support, and administrative staff. The work will involve, but is not limited to, the following:
Overall
• Appoint a dedicated Secretariat liaison for PCH and Committee members.
• Meet with PCH and its main partners on a bi-weekly basis to obtain and share project updates and deliverables status, confirm strategic directions, ensure visibility on discussions relating to the Committee and its work, and mitigate any issues.
• Serve as a liaison with Committee members as required to address issues, special requests, and other concerns.
• Support and facilitate discussions between the Committee and the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation at key milestones or as agreed to by the Committee.
