The Government plans to modify contract N00164-05-C-6664, a sole-source, cost-plus-fixed-fee agreement originally valued at $800,805, awarded to Xetron Corp. This modification adds an additional task related to the XR-2000 Receiver development and modification. A functional requirements document will be provided to Xetron to guide the new effort, which will continue under the existing period of performance until September 30, 2006. This action is to be negotiated solely with Xetron Corp based on the fact that only they can satisfy the agency’s needs, per the Federal Acquisition Regulation clause FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation will be posted due to the sole-source nature of the contract. The contract is managed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and inquiries can be directed to Mr. Peter Riegler at their Crane, Indiana office. The announcement has been posted on both the Federal Business Opportunities website and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online platform to provide alternative access points for interested parties. This modification represents an extension of ongoing development efforts to enhance the XR-2000 Receiver capabilities under the Department of Defense’s oversight.
