The Department of Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) is conducting Insensitive Munitions (IM) Industry Day Briefings on March 13th and 14th of 2006 in Crystal City, VA. During these briefings the Government partner of the DOTC, which is the Defense Ordnance Laboratory Center (DOLC) and the Joint Service Insensitive Munitions Technical Panel, will present briefings on insensitive munitions to the DOTC industry/academia partner, which is the National Warheads & Energetics Consortiom (NWEC). It is the Government’s intention to transition Insensitive Munition (IM) Technology, currently developed by the Department of Defense laboratories, solely to NWEC members. In addition, new awards to develop additional IM technologies will be made solely to NWEC members as Task Order Sub-Agreements (TOSAs) under Other Transaction DAAE30-01-9-0800.
