The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) requires a commercial off the shelf solution to centralize and standardize the method in which chemicals are managed at NRCan. The Software as a Service (SaaS) Solution will accomplish the following: a) Improve employee’s right to know, by providing updated inventories and safety data sheets for all hazards in an employee’s workspace b) Improve NRCan’s hazard prevention program by allowing for the analysis of risks c) Increase oversight and reporting of hazardous materials d) Improve awareness of hazards during emergency situations e) Improve data management f) Reduce chemical purchasing and disposal costs
