Annual Maintenance, Repair, and Inspection Services for Mobile Medium-Heavy Equipment

Lakeland Electric is seeking qualified contractors to provide as-needed maintenance, inspection, diagnostic, and repair services for its fleet of mobile medium-heavy equipment. The services will primarily support operations at the McIntosh, Larsen Memorial, and Winston Power Plants. The resulting contract will be for one year with an option for four additional one-year renewals, utilizing Blanket Purchase Orders to establish labor rates, parts markups, and related pricing. Contractors must demonstrate experience with heavy construction and material handling equipment and possess the capability to provide both shop and field services to minimize equipment downtime. Proposals are evaluated on a points-based system, with 30 percent of the weight placed on pricing and 10 percent on service documentation, warranty, and quality assurance. To be eligible, contractors must comply with stringent safety and legal requirements, including OSHA standards, Florida's drug-free workplace laws, and human trafficking affidavits. Mandatory documentation includes a notarized indemnification agreement, proof of insurance from carriers with an AM Best rating of at least A, and certification that the entity is not suspended or debared via the System for Award Management. All payments are governed by the Local Government Prompt Payment Act, and contractors must adhere to Florida public records laws.
