The Government plans to enter into a sole-source contract with North American Security, Inc. to provide Armed Protective Security Officer services in Arkansas for a maximum period of four months, from July 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026. This short-term extension is intended to bridge the gap while a new solicitation is conducted and a follow-on contract is awarded. The contract modification will extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, allowing task orders for only the necessary duration within this four-month timeframe to maintain critical protective security services throughout the state. This procurement is conducted under the authority of FAR 6.130-1, using a limited negotiation process with one source. The solicitation number is FY26-0115, and responses are due by June 15, 2026. The contracting office overseeing this effort is part of the Department of Homeland Security, specifically the FPS East CCG Division 4 Acquisition Division located in Philadelphia, PA. Communication regarding this contract can be directed to primary and secondary points of contact named Angela Varlow and Adam L. Reynoso. The extension provides adequate time for the transition to the new contract while maintaining uninterrupted security services.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of RFO FAR 6.130-1 for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services with North American Security, Inc., (1701 S. Kelly Avenue, Edmond, OK 73013) for up to four (4) months, July 01, 2026, through October 31, 2026, to allow time to solicit and award the follow-on contract, as well as to provide adequate time for the 120-day transition. This action will result in a modification to extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract to allow placement of a task order to continue critical PSO services throughout the state of Arkansas. Task orders(s) will only be issued under this contract for the necessary length of time required, but not to exceed four (4) months. As such, this extension will allow time to complete the solicitation and award as well as provide an adequate transition period to the new effort for this requirement.
