AI Contract Overview

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through the FPS East CCG Division 4 Acquisition Division, intends to extend an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with Triple Canopy, Inc. to secure Armed Protective Security Officer services in the state of Michigan for a period not to exceed four months, from July 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026. This non-competitive action is authorized under FAR 6.10-1 and is solely to ensure continuity of critical security services while a follow-on procurement is conducted and a 120-day transition period is completed. The extension allows for the placement of a single task order under the existing contract to maintain uninterrupted protection capabilities without interruption, with the understanding that no further extensions beyond this four-month window will be considered. The services will be performed entirely within Michigan, and the modification does not alter the underlying contract terms beyond extending the ordering period for this specific purpose. The pre-solicitation notice, identified as FY26-0120 and posted on July 16, 2026, indicates that this action is a sole-source effort with no competition anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System code is 561612 for Security Services, and the point of contact for inquiries is Clarence C. Grimes, reachable at 214-677-9635 or clarence.grimes@fps.dhs.gov, with Adam L. Reynoso as the secondary contact. Though the response deadline listed is June 15, 2026, this notice serves as an informational filing prior to the contract modification and does not require vendor responses, as the agency has already selected the sole source. The office address for the contracting activity is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the task order will be executed under the authority of the current contract vehicle, ensuring seamless operational continuity during the transition to the next contract award.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of RFO FAR 6.130-1 for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services with Triple Canopy, Inc. (13530 Dulles Technology, Ste 500, Herndon, VA 20171) for up to four (4) months, July 01, 2026, through October 31, 2026, to allow time to solicit and award the follow-on contract, as well as to provide adequate time for the 120-day transition. This action will result in a modification to extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract to allow placement of a task order to continue critical PSO services throughout the state of Michigan. Task orders(s) will only be issued under this contract for the necessary length of time required, but not to exceed four (4) months. As such, this extension will allow time to complete the solicitation and award as well as provide an adequate transition period to the new effort for this requirement.
