The General Services Administration Public Building Service (PBS) announced a streamlined competition on April 11, 2006, for the Administrative Support Function across three locations in the Rocky Mountain Region: Denver, CO; Lakewood, CO; and Aberdeen, SD. This competition followed the procedures and authority outlined in the revised OMB Circular A-76 and was certified by the Competitive Sourcing Official, Agency Tender Official, and the Contracting Officer. The purpose was to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of performing these administrative support functions either through outsourcing or maintaining the work in-house. After a thorough review and competition process, it was determined that retaining the administrative support work in-house would be more cost effective. The announcement serves as the official notification of this decision. The solicitation, identified under NAICS code 561110, was managed by the PBS R8 Acquisition Management Division based in Lakewood, CO. The Contracting Officer Team Lead for this procurement was Tracy D. Troncosa-maes, who could be contacted via email or phone for further details.
