Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under the Space Technology Development Program (STDP) to develop and advance one to three priority technologies intended to reduce technical uncertainties for future Canadian space missions. This fixed-price procurement focuses on increasing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) in accordance with CSA-ST-GDL-0001 Revision A guidelines. The identified priority technologies include a lightweight athermal reflecting telescope for CubeSats, readout electronics for large mosaic focal plane arrays, and technologies for the Ground Snow Mass Mission, with maximum funding per contract ranging from 1 million to 2 million Canadian dollars. The project is expected to span 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a kick-off meeting, preliminary design review, detailed design review and work authorization meeting, test readiness review, and a final review meeting. Selection is based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60%) and price (40%), with additional points available for Indigenous considerations. The contract requires strict adherence to security protocols, including Protected B and Reliability Status, and mandates the use of the Information Sharing with External Partners portal for sensitive data transfers. Performance is subject to rigorous inspection and acceptance processes for both hardware and software, including a 90-day warranty period for custom software.

Expression of interest: Small-satellite missions sandpit
Solicitation # 206083
UK Research and Innovation is seeking expressions of interest for a small-satellite missions sandpit designed to bring together approximately 30 researchers and innovators from diverse disciplines. The goal is to co-develop ambitious, challenge-led small-satellite mission concepts focusing on innovative sensors, data streams, and cross-sector enabling technologies to enhance sovereign capability, address national security and societal challenges, and support economic growth. The activity consists of six sessions held between January 26 and February 11, 2027, utilizing a combination of online sessions and a two-day residential event. Total program funding is listed at 1,870,000, with the objective of developing concepts for pump-priming research grants in 2027/2028. Selection of participants is based on core assessment questions focusing on skills and potential contributions rather than track record, with additional consideration given to geographic diversity across all UK regions. Applicants must apply through an Expression of Interest stage, and invited applicants will use the Resume for Research and Innovation format. Mandatory attendance at all sessions is required, with travel and subsistence costs reimbursed and accommodation provided for overnight stays. The program is managed by the UKRI Space Programme team, with the response deadline for the solicitation set for November 25, 2026.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)ON RESPONSIVE SPACE OPERATIONS (AS OF 30 JANUARY 2004) The National Security Space Architect (NSSA) is gathering information regarding responsive space operations. For the purpose of this RFI, - responsive space operations results from the ability of space-based services and products to respond to changes in needs, events, technologies, or other circumstances in a timely manner. NSSA is currently considering three general timeliness regimes: 1) Long-term responsiveness requiring the conceptualization, design, development, and deployment of new capabilities; 2) Mid-term responsiveness requiring the replenishment, reinforcement, replacement, repair, or modification of existing capabilities; and 3) Short-term responsiveness through the use of novel techniques or operational concepts to exploit latent capabilities. The information will be used to assist NSSA in developing architectures proposed for use in 2025. The NSSA is responsible for developing architectures across the range of National Security space mission areas. The architectural process integrates future needs and a broad spectrum of future military, civil, and commercial capabilities into candidate architectures; conducts independent analyses to assess the merits of each architecture; and presents recommendations and an investment strategy to the Undersecretary of the Air Force for Space/Director, National Reconnaissance Office and the National Security Space Senior Steering Group consisting of: - Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration (ASD/NII); - Deputy Director of Central Intelligence for Community Management (DDCI/CM); and - Director, Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate (J8), Joint Staff This RFI seeks information which will help the NSSA assess responsive space operations capabilities employed, planned, or proposed by national security, civil, and commercial organizations. Of particular interest are innovative practices, concepts, standards, technologies, non-material applications, and associated commercial architectures. Specific questions are: 1) How would you characterize your customers needs for responsiveness? 2) How would you characterize your responsiveness to customers in these timeframes: a. Long-term acquisition of capabilities b. Modification of existing capabilities c. Exploiting latent portions of existing capabilities 3) What is your overall approach to changing your own capabilities in response to changes in customer needs, new technologies, or other elements of the environment? 4) How are you planning to improve your responsiveness in these areas? a. Space-based capabilities b. Terrestrial capabilities c. Non-material aspects including policies, procedures, and operations concepts 5) What standards are you considering developing, establishing or implementing to support long-term, mid-term, and short-term responsiveness? 6) What technologies do you plan to use to achieve, maintain, or improve long-term, mid-term, and short-term responsiveness? 7) What technologies do you consider high payoff for future responsive space operations capabilities, including those without current space funding support or government sponsorship? 8) To what extent should autonomy or automation be implemented in ground and space systems to support responsiveness? 9) Which commercial capabilities do you believe could be used to enhance the responsiveness of government space capabilities? 10) What type of capabilities do you anticipate using to support the responsiveness of your space-based capabilities proposed for use in 2025. 11) What international cooperation do you intend to be in place in 2025 to achieve better space responsiveness? 12) What interrelationship do you plan or desire to have with the government in 2025 from a responsive space operations perspective? 13) What interest do you have in providing selected services for responsive government space operations? 14) What interest do you have in providing a full range of responsive space operations services to the government? 15) What analytical tools or simulations would you recommend for assessing the performance, cost, and utility associated with responsive space operations?
