Full Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Conservation Biology Division located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire services for the study of age and length-at-age composition of adult steelhead passing Bonneville Dam. The period of performance is through September 2008. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF LESS THAN $100,000. The known source is Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC). CRITFC has been conducting age and length-at-age studies at Bonneville dam since 1985. CRITFC is one of the major co-managers of salmonids in the Columbia River basin and is involved in numerous restoration, management, propagation, research and monitoring projects. CRITFC experience with the operation of the Adult Fish Facility at Bonneville Dam is ideal for performing this study.
