Title: Beothuk Lake Tower and Electrical Recapitalization, at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Scope of work:
The Work covered by this Contract will include the replacement of the existing fishway elevator electrical distribution shed at Beothuk Lake Dam, and all electrical equipment contained within the shed. Also included is the replacement of the fishway gate electric chain hoist and replacement of handrail baseplate bolts which are missing in the stairway leading from the top of the dam to fishway entrance on the downstream side of the dam.
Location of work:
The Red Indian Lake Dam Fishway site is located approximately 6.5 km southwest of Millertown in central Newfoundland (48o 45’45” N, 56o35’51”W).
Bidders are advised that the fishway is operational from approximately the middle of July until middle of October each year and the scope of this project must be scheduled so as to not interfere with normal operations and with all project work complete by December 15th 2025.
