Bldg. 535 - Structural/Roof Repairs SOW: -Replace moisture-damaged roof decking, repair spalled concrete, and patch/tuckpoint cracked masonry on interior and exterior. EV Comments: Conduct NEPA review. Use Revised Naval Station Great Lakes Soils Management Plan Revised July 2022 to manage excavated soils. Lay-down areas shall be pre-approved and NOT be located near environmentally sensitive areas such as storm drains, floor drains and building air intakes. Discharging wastewater generated as a result of concrete/cement/grout/mortar processing activities into storm sewers, into sanitary sewers or onto the ground is prohibited - wastewater from these activities shall be disposed of at a licensed and approved disposal facility. CRM Comments: No issues. Project does not affect historic property. AM Comments: Approved. EV StormWater comments: Use best management practices to manage any temporary soil/waste piles. Locate these piles and staging areas downhill of storm drains, preferably on a flat surface. Protect nearby storm drains as needed. 4/17/23 Madeleine Mahan. APM Comments: Hazmat survey of any caulks, sealants, roofing materials and any other suspect materials to be removed or disturbed during execution of this project will need to be tested.
