This sole source contract, solicitation number W911RX-17-Q-0204, awards Bulk TV the responsibility for providing satellite TV and internet services to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Riley, Kansas, specifically for buildings 672 and 674. This action serves as a logical follow-on to contract W911RX-16-P-0088, as Bulk TV already maintains the necessary infrastructure to support 107 cable outlets. A sole source procurement was determined necessary because replacing the existing equipment and infrastructure would be cost prohibitive for the government, and a previous provider, VYVE Broadband, was unable to meet the workforce requirements for the project scope. The contract structure includes a base year running from September 30, 2017, through September 29, 2018, with option years extending through September 29, 2021. The activity requested a total four year ordering period to ensure continuous service for Warriors in Transition. Managed by the Department of Defense through the W6QM Micc-Ft Riley office, the agreement ensures the operation and maintenance of digital TV and internet connectivity within the specified facilities.
