The Department of Veterans Affairs, Illiana Health Care System (HCS), located in Danville, Illinois is seeking the services of a qualified Architectural Engineering (A/E) firm for the replacement of exterior water mains (project #550-08-109) to include some areas leading up to occupied areas of an active Medical Center. The selected A/E firm shall provide all technical services including architectural, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering as may be required for design. The project intent is to replace the existing deteriorated exterior water lines at the Illiana HCS. This work will include, but not limited to the replacement/removal of existing domestic water lines, shut-off valves, domestic and sprinkler lines feeding numerous buildings, fire sprinkler post indicator valves, interior water lines up to and including the main building shut-off valves, replacement of valve boxes, fire hydrants, etc. All work shall meet the National Electrical and Plumbing Code requirements. To prepare 100% working drawings and contract documents use VA Master Specifications (http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/spec_idx.asp ) to complete the work specified above. The estimated construction range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Preliminary submission shall be due in 30 calendar days from notice to proceed; design reviews will be due at 30%, 60% and 95%. Final submission shall be due in 95 calendar days from notice to proceed.
