Purpose and objective


CGC WAESCHE seeks to purchase service for Aerial Lift Training to conduct maintenance by ETs, ITs, and EMs, as well as Hull Preservation by Deck.


Scope


Dates: May 27th, 28th and 29th 2026


People: Training for up to 10 Coast Guard Active Duty Member each day (30 people total)


Classroom: Beginning at 0700, provide no less than one hour of Classroom training on Safety, Mishap Prevention, Operations, Emergency Response, and Best Practices.


Hands On: Following Classroom Training on the same day with the same 10 people, provide no less than five hours of operations training with the Aerial Lift to include, Equipment Familiarization, Pre-Use Inspections, Safety Equipment, Moving Aerial Lifts around the pier and roadways on base, Working Aloft with the aerial lift, Emergency Response, Stowing Aerial Lifts, Post-Use Inspection, and Evaluation of Trainee’s ability to use equipment. A 30-minute lunch break will be provided at 1300 if additional time is needed.


Post Training: Provide Proof of Training/Certification. Allow all presentation materials to be accessible by trainees after the training for reference.


The contractor shall:


  • Only provide the service outlined in the scope of work. The unit will not accept substitutions.
  • Provide training on the Coast Guard Base Alameda’s Aerial Lift.
  • Provide training for 30 people over three days at a pace of 10 people each day.
  • Training will be held at Coast Guard Island, 1 Eagle Road Alameda, CA 94501
  • A classroom on base or on board WAESCHE will be provided with a TV and HDMI access. WiFi or wired internet will not be accessible.
  • Provide names of instructors no later than May 22nd 2026 for Base Alameda and WAESCHE access.
