Charlie, Susan, and Cutlass Circuit Project (Notification of Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-SBR-67695-R6)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SBR-67695-R6 with Southern California Edison for the Charlie, Susan, and Cutlass Circuit Project located in Rialto, California. The scope of work involves utility infrastructure upgrades, specifically the removal and replacement of 21 wood utility poles, the installation of two new caissons and two new utility poles, and various replacements and removals of anchors and ground rods. To complete these tasks, crews will utilize helicopters, cranes, heavy equipment, utility trucks, and hand tools, accessing the site via existing roads and newly created temporary overland travel routes. The project is expected to have a minimal environmental footprint regarding resources protected under Fish and Game Code Section 1602. Anticipated impacts include a temporary disturbance of approximately 2.794 acres and a permanent impact of 0.0034 acres. This agreement ensures that the utility improvements are conducted in compliance with state regulatory standards for streambed alteration and resource protection.
