Full Description

Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES)Contracting Strategy Overview. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of the Program Executive Office - Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (PEO-C4I), Networks, Tactical Networks Program Office (PMW 160), intends to competitively procure the production and development of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) system during the full deployment phase of the program. The attached PMW 160 document entitled CANES Contracting Strategy Overview provides the current status of the CANES Program and the planned contracting strategy for the full and open competition of the CANES Production contract and the CANES Engineering Support Services (ESS) contract. The CANES Contracting Strategy Overview describes the anticipated roles and responsibilities of the different contracts and the estimated schedule. PMW 160 intends to host a CANES Full Deployment Industry Day, currently scheduled for Q2FY12, to provide additional insight into the CANES Programs contracting strategy, technical development and sustainment, and the anticipated contractor roles and responsibilities under each of the CANES full deployment phase contracts. Questions regarding the information contained in the CANES Contracting Strategy Overview document will not be accepted or answered at this time. Interested parties will be offered an opportunity to submit questions at the CANES Full Deployment Industry Day currently scheduled for Q2FY12. THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
