Full Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for Small Businesses. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 – Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West (MRCO-W), JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources who can provide Cryogenic Freezers in support of the Department Pathology at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), JBSA – Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The HexaLux Cryogenic Freezers must adhere to the FULL list of salient characteristics outlined in Attachment 1. This is a one-time purchase.

Salient Characteristics - Liquid Nitrogen Freezers
Minimum Clinical Performance Requirements
- Must be able to hold a temperature probe in the interspace of the vat so the probe is not touching samples or directly into liquid nitrogen. It is used to be monitored by REES and Amega currently. Along with additional manual temperature checks as need with Liquid Nitrogen(LN) Thermometer probes.
- The alarms need to physically and audibly with the same ranges as the REES and amega systems, The vat itself needs to be able to be manually set for the ranges. Level of LN varies between models >4 inches, >6 inches, >7inches. Temperature -150- -196 degrees C
-The stem cell bags fit in a rack that has these measurements. 25”x 7”X 0.5”. It holds 3 bags per rack. 2900 cellular therapy bags/ 967 racks
