NAVFAC PROJECT MAXIMO LOCATION: NBSD-61, 91 Scope of work • 1.1 Demolition & Removal (if applicable): o Demo existing windows only at SW corner of first floor of bldg. 61. Outside blue paint is hot for lead so abatement will be required. This project is to replace/repair, if possible, the section of windows that is located at the southwest corner only due to issues with leaks during heavy rains. Security cage is to remain after replacement.  Demo section of windows after abatement of blue paint  Demo framing (dry rot) o Project to replace approximately 25 windows on the second deck of building 91.  Demo existing windows  Clean and Prep each frame to install Retrofit window  Demo plaster/stucco to ensure proper spacing for new window insert • 1.2 Site Preparation: o Building 61  Abate blue paint that testing has proven to be hot for lead. The section of windows to be replaced is approximately 12’x10’ and is the section of windows on the SW corner.  Remove security cage (if needed) to perform work  Heavy traffic area, abatement may require after hours work o Building 91  Aerial Work Platform will be needed to perform work on 2nd deck. • 1.3 Construction/Repair: o Building 61 – SW corner of bldg. 61  Project may require new framing in to allow for the install of the new windows.  Request new windows with UV protection/layer.  Existing security cage is to remain/be reinstalled.  Frames to be painted to match color of surrounding windows.  This is an industrial site, ensure all measures are taken to protect contractors and surrounding equipment and personnel wor ...
