The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), through its Forensic Identification Services, is seeking suppliers for Cyanoacrylate (CA) fuming chambers, critical equipment used in forensic laboratories across Canada to detect and develop latent impressions on non-porous evidence. This procurement aligns with multiple land claim agreements with Indigenous groups and is governed by a reciprocal procurement policy, restricting eligibility to Canadian suppliers and those from applicable trading partner countries only. Offers must meet all mandatory technical requirements outlined in the solicitation and will be evaluated primarily on compliance and lowest evaluated price. Submission of tenders is through the RCMP Bid Receiving Unit, with documents available via the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS), and communications will be conducted in either official language of Canada. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with policies such as the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy, and strongly encourages Indigenous businesses to participate by registering in the Indigenous Business Directory. Furthermore, the procurement reflects the RCMP’s commitment to environmental responsibility by mandating environmentally preferable packaging, in line with federal green procurement strategies. The contract is overseen by the RCMP Procurement and Contracting Branch, with David Repsys as the primary contact. All procurement updates, amendments, and related communications will be posted solely on GETS, making it essential for bidders to regularly consult the platform to ensure they have the most current information.
