The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, plans to issue a sole-source purchase order to TMANet for maintenance services supporting the Columbus Community Telephone Switching System (CCTSS) located in Columbus, Ohio. This contract, issued under FAR Part 13 and consistent with FAR 6.302 for sole-source procurements, covers comprehensive 24/7 hardware maintenance including repair and parts replacement, as well as software maintenance. The base performance period is one year with four additional one-year option periods. TMANet is identified as the exclusive provider due to their proprietary data rights to the embedded software on the system, making them the only known capable source for both hardware and software support. While this is not a formal solicitation, other vendors interested in offering comparable support must request the performance specifications and submit detailed proposals by close of business January 5, 2005, to demonstrate their capability. Should any alternate proposals satisfy these requirements, a competitive request for quotation will be issued. If no viable requests are received by the deadline, the contract will be awarded directly to TMANet. Questions and requests for specifications are to be directed to Deborah Benscoter at the provided contact information. This acquisition falls under NAICS code 518210 and is managed by the Department of Defense Telecommunications Division.
