USCG, Surface Forces Logistics Center, C&PD2 - LREPL, in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dockside Repairs of Main Reduction Gears of CGC BOUTWELL (WHEC 719) and CGC MUNRO (WHEC 724), 378' high endurance cutters, home moorage in San Diego, CA and Kodiak, AK. The period of performance to accomplish this requirement is 04 December 2012 through 08 February 2013 for CGC BOUTWELL and 25 March 2013 through 27 July 2013 for CGC MUNRO. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: No. 1 main reduction gear overall and accessory drive renewal; No. 1 main reduction gear lube oil cooler clean and inspect; No. 1 reduction gear hot oil flush; Main engine lift and realignment final; and sea trial performance, provide, support. All work items will be identified in the solicitation package. On or about 17 August 2012, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fbo.gov.
