Bid #26-27-05: The City of Santa Clara is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide as-needed various Donaldson and Hy-Pro filters, filter accessories, and other related products in support of the City’s Electric Utility Department, Silicon Valley Power (SVP). Donaldson filters are used on both gas turbine systems and Hy-Pro filters used for ST, CT1, and CT2. SVP’s Generation group manages the oil systems that keep the CTs, ST and STG running. These oil systems have different and strict operating requirements, including cleanliness, additives and moisture content. The Hy-Pro filtration systems ensure SVP can maximize the useful life of the oil and avoid a costly replacement. It is critical that these systems use true OEM filters and not equivalent replacements because the housing equipment is specifically designed for their filter media.
