E2 (SRF) YSK-DD4 REPAIR OF DOCK STRUCTURES

Scope of Work: a. Perform complete repair of dock structures (wall alters and floors). (1) Repair of dock structures (wall alters and floors). 2. Justification / Reason: a. Even though Yokosuka Dry dock #4 is U. S. Navy certified dry dock, engineering study for maintenance/repair the dock structure has never conducted before. As a report of annual dry dock inspection conducted by NAVFAC PW5, dock structure shows major cracks and erosion due to age, and also there are leakage of subsurface water from the walls. Since this dry dock is over 100 years old. SRF would like to request to perform the complete repairs as required. b. This work request has been generated by Dry Dock Safety Certification Audit reported item by NAVSEA of 29 November 2017. 3. Recommendation / Information / Special Requirements: a. SRF desires to start an engineering study and design in FY23. b.
