Design and Construction of Levee Access Manholes for Fairfax-Jersey Creek Levee Unit (Kansas City, Kansas)
Solicitation # W912DQ26RA065
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is seeking design-build construction services for the installation of access manholes at the Fairfax-Jersey Creek Levee Unit on the Missouri River in Kansas City, Kansas. The project aims to facilitate the regular inspection of approximately 27,000 feet of perforated corrugated metal seepage collector pipe, with manhole depths estimated between 10 and 25 feet. This is a two-phase selection process under solicitation W912DQ26RA065. Phase 1 focuses on qualifications and technical approach, with no pricing submitted at this stage; the government intends to select up to three qualified offerors for Phase 2. Evaluation factors include Performance Confidence, Technical Approach and Qualifications, Design Concepts, and Small Business Participation, with non-price factors being significantly more important than price. The project is categorized under NAICS code 237990 with a small business size standard of 45 million dollars. While the estimated price range is between 1 million and 5 million dollars, the total contract award amount shall not exceed 3.4 million dollars as a firm-fixed-price contract.
