Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Sales and Services

The City of Nanaimo is seeking an authorized distributor of ChargePoint-brand Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) to support the replacement, expansion, and maintenance of its existing network of 18 units. This agreement is primarily for the supply of goods, specifically Level 2 chargers from the CPF 50, CP 6000, or CT4000 series and associated accessories, though Level 3 chargers may be required toward the end of the term. The scope includes the provision of ongoing support services such as system activation, configuration, commissioning validation, troubleshooting, and manufacturer liaison services, with a strong likelihood of providing ChargePoint Assure coverage for warranties and service. The contract features an initial three-year term with the option for two additional one-year renewals at the City's discretion. Pricing is based on a percentage discount off the manufacturer's suggested retail price rather than fixed quantities, as the City does not guarantee minimum purchase volumes. Award decisions are based on a weighted evaluation of technical and price factors, requiring a minimum technical score of 45 points for compliance. The agreement is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. Suppliers must provide a valid City of Nanaimo or inter-community business license and a WorkSafe BC Clearance Letter if onsite work is required.
