ENTERPRISE SOLAR STORAGE PROJECT by Enterprise Solar Storage, LLC

The Enterprise Solar Storage Project, managed by Enterprise Solar Storage, LLC, involves the construction and operation of a utility-scale photovoltaic solar energy facility and associated infrastructure in southeastern Kern County, California. The project is designed to generate 600 MW of renewable electric energy with an energy storage capacity of up to 4,000 MWh. The infrastructure spans approximately 2,320 to 2,643 acres across five non-contiguous sites and includes solar arrays, energy storage systems, substations, transmission lines, on-site water wells, and temporary construction laydown areas. The project is subject to extensive environmental regulatory compliance, including the California Environmental Quality Act and various permits from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Key authorizations include Incidental Take Permits under the California Endangered Species Act and the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act to address the impact on protected species, such as the desert tortoise, Mohave ground squirrel, western burrowing owl, and western Joshua trees. Additionally, the project includes multiple Streambed Alteration Agreements and amendments to the Kern County General Plan. Recent modifications, including Amendment No. 4, have expanded the list of permittees and updated mitigation and monitoring plans to ensure environmental compliance.
