Evidence-Based Opioid Addiction Treatment Program Development and Implementation Rowan County, NC

Rowan County, North Carolina is seeking experienced organizations to develop and implement evidence-based addiction treatment programs targeting the ongoing opioid overdose crisis in the region. The aim is to make effective use of opioid settlement funds to address the sharp escalation in opioid-related deaths and emergency interventions by following national best practices for opioid use disorder treatment. Selected providers will be expected to offer comprehensive solutions including clinical assessments, Medication-Assisted Treatment with FDA-approved medications, ensuring access to these medications through patient assistance programs, providing transportation to improve treatment accessibility, building local infrastructure to reduce opioid overdoses, and enhancing community partnerships to widen access to care. The contract offers funding up to $300,000 over a three-year term, with a cap of $100,000 annually, and services must be performed within Rowan County. Applications are open to a range of organizations such as nonprofits, governmental entities, hospital systems, health centers, and community-based groups, provided they are licensed in North Carolina and have at least two years of relevant experience. Proposals will be accepted until October 23, 2025, and selected contractors must meet insurance requirements and demonstrate commitment to proven, evidence-based strategies in addressing opioid use disorder.
