The New York State Office of Mental Health has secured an exemption from advertising requirements to directly award contracts for comprehensive energy efficiency program services across its facilities statewide. Two separate contracts are established with Aramark and Ameresco, each servicing half of OMH's facilities, with the agreements spanning from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This exemption was granted due to the sole-source nature of the awards, recognizing Aramark and Ameresco as the designated providers. The contracts aim to facilitate ongoing energy efficiency improvements while also laying the groundwork for future procurement opportunities. The solicitation was posted on October 14, 2025, with a response deadline of October 21, 2025, and the contract value ranges between five million and fifteen million dollars. The program covers all counties in New York, emphasizing statewide implementation. For inquiries, contact details are provided for Dylan Brooks, the Contract Management Specialist at OMH.
