AI Contract Overview
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Fundamental Software Inc. for maintenance and support of the FLEX-ES license reinstatement and a one-year subscription, with an option for an additional year. This action is justified under FAR 6.103.1 because FLEX-ES is a proprietary product exclusively supported by its original equipment manufacturer, making competition impractical. Although this is a notice of intent and not a request for quotes, interested parties may submit a capability statement by 1 PM PST on July 1, 2026, referencing solicitation number N6893626SIMACQD0AH1300236, to demonstrate their ability to perform the work without compromising quality, accuracy, reliability, or schedule. Responses must be emailed to Andrea M. Farrell at the provided government address. All potential respondents must have an active registration in SAM.gov prior to submission, as the government cannot award a contract to an entity without an active SAM status, and processing registrations may take 10 to 15 days. Additionally, contractors must be certified through the Defense Logistics Information Services to handle Controlled Unclassified Information or Export Controlled Information, with access restricted to a single designated Data Custodian per CAGE code listed on the DD 2345 form, approved by the Defense Logistics Agency. Contractors are responsible for coordinating with their CAGE code’s Data Custodian to secure proper access. The NAICS code for this requirement is 513210, and the place of performance is in China Lake, California.
