The Broadcasting Board of Governors International Broadcasting Bureau intends to award a non-competitive contract to Lao National Television for the broadcast of Voice of America Lao video programs. The project involves airing two weekly five-minute programs, totaling 52 lessons, to increase viewership within Laos. The contract is expected to span an initial one-year period of performance with four subsequent one-year option periods. This procurement is being conducted without full and open competition because Lao National Television is identified as the only free-to-air national broadcaster in the region. While the government intends to negotiate with this specific entity, interested firms may submit written responses demonstrating their ability to provide similar free-to-air transmission services in Laos.
