The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's Office of Nutritional Services is seeking suppliers to provide fresh produce on a weekly basis, including carrots, celery, onions, peppers, cabbage, potatoes, garlic, and bean sprouts. Vendors will undergo a pre-qualification process by DOCCS and, after final approval by the Office of the State Comptroller, will participate in weekly mini-bids to submit pricing for required items. This spot-buying method means vendors are not required to submit fixed or long-term pricing during the initial qualification stage, but will provide prices only after contract approval over the course of the multiple-year contract. The contract covers delivery to the NYS DOCCS Food Production Center in Rome, New York, for all counties within the state, with a term running from September 29, 2025, to December 14, 2026. Applications and proposals are accepted continuously, and vendors must comply with State Financial Law regulations governing communication and lobbying during the bidding process. While there is no set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, the contract includes subcontracting goals of 30% each for minority-owned and women-owned businesses. Interested vendors should refer to the official points of contact and documentation for further details and submission procedures.
