This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
The Canyon Work Center and the Kelly Forks Work Center, North Fork Ranger District, Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest has an urgent need to rent 2 emergency generators for the remote, off-grid work centers. These facilities are vital for housing essential Fire and Recreation employees and function as the primary operational base for all North Fork District fire suppression efforts.
The lack of reliable power at these remote locations poses significant health and safety risks to the personnel stationed there. A functioning generator is essential to maintain habitable conditions, ensure operational capability, and provide basic safety. The current generators at Canyon work and Kelly Forks Work Center require warranty work and will be unavailable for an estimated period of up to four months. To maintain essential operations and ensure the health and safety of personnel during this period, the rental of an emergency generator is immediately necessary.
Both Generators might end up at the Kelly Forks Works Center if the generator at the Canyon Works Center gets repaired.
