The Department of Defense Education Activity requires vendor-hosted secondary-level social studies standalone databases that have the following characteristics:
- Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) digital library content/database that supports our secondary level social studies curricula, including AP social studies courses.
- Accessibility of all online electronic resources throughout the school building and from remote locations.
- Have product licensing based on a per-student/staff model. Products shall be licensed for all students/staff. Note: DoWEA will not accept a site-based or per-building licensing model.
