The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price lease agreement to Olympus America, Inc. for gastrointestinal endoscope medical equipment and accessories to support the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, Arkansas. This procurement is conducted under FAR Part 8 and FAR Subpart 8.4 via the Federal Supply Schedule, utilizing Olympus Contract 36F79721D0168. The agreement is structured with a base year and four one-year option periods to ensure predictable pricing, reduce administrative burdens, and maintain clinical capability through OEM-authorized maintenance and warranty support. The scope of the lease includes a comprehensive array of proprietary equipment, such as CV-1500 and CV-190 video system centers, UHD 4K monitors, and various specialized endoscopes and cables. To ensure compatibility with existing government-owned scopes, the requirement specifically includes both CV-190/CLV-190 and CV-1500 systems, though consumables are explicitly excluded from the lease. The contractor must be an OEM-authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller with certified technicians to prevent the delivery of gray market items, which would constitute a breach of contract. The anticipated award date is December 31, 2026, under NAICS code 339112.
