Health Insurance Broker

The City of Española is seeking qualified professional insurance brokers through a competitive sealed proposal process to provide comprehensive insurance coverage options for its employees. The contract involves sourcing health, prescription, dental, vision, life (including term and whole life), short-term and long-term disability, as well as various supplemental coverages such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness insurance. Currently, the City has approximately 162 employees with a mix of coverage participation, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits. The goal is to offer a competitive insurance package that extends coverage not only to employees but also to their spouses, children, and domestic partners. The solicitation, titled "Health Insurance Broker" (RFP 2026-001), was posted on May 13, 2026, with proposals due by May 29, 2026. It is managed by the City of Española’s Finance Department under New Mexico's state and local government procurement procedures.
