The contract titled "Heavy Equipment Summer Rentals" (solicitation number W6889-20260002) issued by the Department of National Defence under the Government of Canada is a solicitation for the rental of heavy construction equipment at the Petawawa location, Ontario, from April 13, 2026, through November 20, 2026. Only suppliers pre-qualified under the Supply Arrangement series E6TOR-23RM03 may submit bids, with a bid submission deadline of March 17, 2026. The rental equipment includes a range of heavy machinery such as wheeled excavators, highway tractors, low bed trailers, graders, mini-excavators, tri-axle dump trucks, and agricultural tractors. Each equipment type must meet stringent minimum technical specifications including engine power, drivetrain capabilities, cabin features, attachments, and restrictions on age and operational hours. The Statement of Requirement documents serve as the primary technical reference, providing detailed descriptions of the required equipment configurations and their intended operational tasks, ensuring they meet the Department’s standards and functional needs. These documents take precedence over any general statements of work in case of conflicting information, emphasizing compliance and quality. The contracting authority for this solicitation is Jen Kawa, and potential suppliers not yet qualified under the current SA series are encouraged to contact PSPC for qualification information. The contract reflects the department’s need for reliable, modern, and fully capable heavy machinery to support construction and operational activities during the specified summer and fall timeframe.
