The Government intends to release a Solicitation to solicit a Food Service Provider to operate the cafeteria located inside the Department of Housing and Urban Development Headquarters located in Washington D.C. The Food Service provider shall establish and operate using their own name. This cafeteria is to be operated for the benefit of approximately 3,000 building occupants. The population will occasionally increase during the spring and summer months as these are seasons of travel to attend short seminars, on-site meetings, conferences and other functions held in the Robert C. Weaver building. The building is not currently at full capacity. Approximately 560 HUD employees work in satellite locations within 0.6 miles of the Weaver Building. The Robert C. Weaver building anticipates an average of approximately 200 visitors during the day that attend short seminars, on-site meetings, conferences and other functions. These visitors have access to the cafeteria – they may or may not “overlap? with the breakfast period or the lunch period.
