IFB 26-30010-000 Radiology Directorship Services

The California Department of State Hospitals – Patton is seeking a contractor to provide radiology directorship services on an as-needed basis, with the primary responsibility of overseeing the clinical, technical, and radiation safety aspects of the Radiology Department in accordance with stringent state and federal regulations. The contractor must serve as the official Radiology Director, conducting annual on-site visits, participating in radiology conferences, reviewing radiation monitoring reports, approving the X-ray Policy and Procedure Manual, and ensuring Image Processing Quality Assurance by critically evaluating image quality parameters such as collimation, shielding, exposure technique, and positioning. All services must align with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, the Joint Commission standards, the Department of Justice requirements, 10 CFR 20.1101, California Health and Safety Code section 124850(g), and CCR Title 17 sections 30255(b) and 30305(b), with the contractor required to maintain compliance with state licensing, Medical Board certification, and applicable federal laws.
