Indigenous Capacity Building & Training Services

This subcontract with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans of the Government of Canada focuses on Indigenous Capacity Building and Training Services within British Columbia. The primary objective is to provide specialized training and mentorship to First Nations crew members working for prime contractors on monitoring projects. Training covers population, fishery, and habitat monitoring, delivered through a combination of virtual platforms and in-person instruction, supplemented by community outreach efforts. The service provider must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within the frameworks of Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements, specifically those involving the Nisga'a, Tsawwassen, Maa-nulth, and Tla'amin Nations. The contract requires the delivery of trained personnel and the issuance of completion certifications. The agreement is scheduled to run from March 5, 2026, through October 31, 2029.
