The Office of Naval Research (ONR) is hosting an Industry Day on February 8th at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City to discuss the Beachable High Speed Sea Base Connector, known as the T-Craft Program. This event will provide an update on the program's current status and its connection to the ONR’s Seabasing Innovative Naval Prototypes initiative. The meeting will cover key elements including performance and operation requirements, envisioned concepts, and industry input on acquisition strategies, risk reduction, technology integration, and related topics. The program is structured in three increments: the first solicits concept white papers from industry, the second plans multiple contract awards for feasibility studies and small-scale model development and testing, and the third will involve the design, production, and demonstration of a large-scale prototype. The three phases aim to progressively develop the technology from concept to full-scale prototype. The day will start at 8 A.M., with early arrival advised for security processing at the Visitor Reception Center. The agenda includes presentations on the ONR Innovative Naval Prototypes program background, the Navy’s Seabasing concept, and specific objectives and expectations for each increment of the T-Craft program. A lunch break will be followed by a question and answer session focusing on the initial increment. The event will conclude by 5:30 P.M., and a tour of a Landing Craft Air Cushion at the facility is planned for the following day, weather permitting. Attendance is limited to five individuals per company, and a detailed list of attendees must be submitted by February 1st. All briefings and discussions will be unclassified, and participants are encouraged to direct questions or recommendations ahead of time to the designated contact.
