This announcement is released by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), Eatontown, NJ, to notify industry of an Information Technology Advanced Planning Brief to Industry (IT APBI) hybrid event on June 17, 2026. The purpose of the APBI is to offer informative briefing sessions addressing Agency acquisition and IT transformation initiatives and objectives. Several briefing sessions with VA leadership, including but not limited to, Mr. Phillip Christy, Chief Acquisition Officer and Principal Executive Director, Office of Acquisition, Logistics and Construction; Mr. Zachary Schwartz, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information and Technology; Ms. Chanel Bankston-Carter, Executive Director, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, and as well as other senior leaders from the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) will be presented.

Presentation of email confirmation will be required at check-in. Registration is limited to two attendees per company for in-person attendance and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached (approximately 600 seats). There are no limitations on live stream registrants per company; however, the Webex platform is limited to 3,000 attendees (just increased, previously capped at 1,000 attendees).


Final date/time for in-person registration will be 5:00 PM EST Friday, June 12, 2026.


All registrants completing the registration process will receive an email from Eventbrite containing the access link.


Parking for this event will utilize the Shenandoah Parking Deck. Please note there is a parking fee ($19 for all day) associated with Shenandoah Parking Deck (Parking Services - Parking and Transportation - George Mason University).


Additional information will be made available at https://www.voa.va.gov, under Advanced Planning Brief to Industry 2026. Event agenda and FY27 contracting opportunities will be posted under the APBI Library prior to the event. The registration list, briefing charts and recording from the event will be posted within a week following the event.
