The DOH, BTFF has a need to participate in a public informational email campaign to 2,940,000 Florida parents of middle and high school students. The BTFF aims to reduce the initiation of tobacco use by youth and young adults in Florida. The use of tobacco products among Florida’s youth, especially emerging products like electronic vapor products (EVPs) and oral nicotine products, remains high. Rapidly evolving tobacco products and lack of evidence-based information about their health risks put parents at a disadvantage. These emails will serve to better educate millions of parents on these harmful products and empower them with the information they need to help prevent tobacco use among their children. This campaign content is created by the BTFF and has been reviewed and approved by DOH Communications Office. In accordance with Chapter 60A-1.045, Florida Administrative Code, the DOH, Division of Community Health Promotion, BTFF requests authorization to purchase, as a single source, the provision of support via an informational e-mail campaign from Givebacks, Inc.
