Interior Upgrades at two (2) schools

Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir is seeking bids from general contractors for interior upgrades and renovations at two facilities: ÉÉC Sainte-Marie in Simcoe and ÉÉC Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys in Brantford. The scope of work at ÉÉC Sainte-Marie includes the installation of custom shelving, coat racks, a baby changing table, and general carpentry, framing, and painting. At ÉÉC Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys, the project involves gym storage room repairs, flooring, lighting, and the installation of a double-sink vanity in Room 101. The project is scheduled to take place from December 19, 2026, to January 3, 2027, following a five-phase process consisting of demolition, structural rough-ins, finishes, testing, and final cleanup. The procurement process requires a mandatory site visit on October 5, 2026, with a submission deadline of October 19, 2026. Evaluation is conducted in three stages: mandatory submission requirements, technical requirements, and pricing. A 10% scoring advantage is granted to bidders who maximize the use of Ontario-made goods and services through a Domestic Supply Chain Plan. Selected contractors must adhere to strict safety and security protocols, including mandatory background checks for personnel working in schools, the use of visible company identification badges, and maintaining commercial general liability insurance with an A.M. Best rating of B+ or higher. Payment is issued upon substantial completion and acceptance of the work, subject to statutory holdbacks under the Ontario Construction Act.
