(Bill) Hefner the Department of Veterans Affairs Salisbury Medical Center (SBYVAMC), 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury NC 28144 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 238220 with a small business size standard of 19.0m. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Siemens Industry Inc., 1000 Deerfield Parkway Buffalo Grove, IL. 60089-4547 for an energy management system (EMS), also known as a building automation system (BAS) support to control, monitor, and troubleshoot the heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) throughout the facility.
