Janitorial Services for the Safe Hope Center

The City of Jackson is soliciting bids for weekly janitorial services at the Safe Hope Center in Tennessee under solicitation number 27-14. The selected vendor will provide one day of service per week during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 to 5:00, with a preference for afternoon scheduling. The scope of work includes surface cleaning of desks and kitchen areas, vacuuming carpets, mopping vinyl tile floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning glass doors and reception areas. The vendor is responsible for providing all cleaning products and equipment, including mops and wet floor signs, while the City provides paper products and trash bags. All supplies must comply with OSHA and TOSHA requirements. Awards will be granted to the lowest and best responsible, responsive bidder, with evaluation factors including price, responsiveness, and delivery schedules. Due to the nature of the facility, the vendor and all employees must sign a confidentiality agreement to protect clients. The contract requires compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Payment terms are Net 30 days, and the contract is subject to cancellation without penalty if municipal funds are not appropriated. Submittals must be signed in ink and delivered by the deadline, as electronic or verbal submissions are strictly prohibited.
